SYED RAHAT ALI – ACA, CISA, MA Economics (Partner)

Mr. Rahat, founding partner of the firm, is qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAP), Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) and Masters in Business/Managerial Economics with rich and diversified experience of over 15 years of different industries at management level.

He has provided advisory and consulting services to large number of companies in the different sectors which includes insurance, microfinance banks, real estate, hospitality, textile, engineering, travel & leisure, financial services, technology, government / semi-government, (NGOs/NPOs).

The senior level experience of working in RSM international provided him in-depth knowledge of corporate and secretarial practices, legal matters, audits, taxation and financial management systems.

In industry, Mr. Rahat has served in United International Group (UIG) as a head of Corporate Compliance & Reporting. He is Advisor to the Board of various renowned companies listed on stock exchange.

Along with this he is member of CPD committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and visiting faculty member for the subject of Corporate Law at Professionals’ Academy of Commerce (PAC).

In 2015, joined RASCO Consulting as a partner and later on also started Chartered Accountants firm with the name and style of Rahat Ali Shah & Co., Chartered Accountants.

MR. AQEEL ZAHID – ACA (Partner)

Mr. Aqeel Zahid is an Associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) since 2010with experience of working in Nexia International.

Prior to joining the firm, he served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for more than 5 years in Ruba SEZ Group (Haier Pakistan) spearheaded affairs of different group companies. Budgeting & planning, finance, accounts, internal audit, credit control & legal departments were part of his portfolio. In addition to CFO role; he was also key member of Executive Committee of the company.

Before that he served as Head Finance & Accounts department in pioneer retail – fashion & apparel brand of the county leading overall management, controlling and supervision of all accounts and finance related affairs of group companies.

He has rich experience in formulating company’s future direction, developing and implementing strategic business plans, developing financial strategies, budgeting and developing performance measures that support company strategic directions. He has 15 years of hands on experience of different industries which include retail, hospitality, education travel & leisure, consumer durable products & e-commerce.

He has expertise in business processes outsourcing, budgeting & planning, business process re-engineering, risk management, internal auditing, appraisal of new investments and ERP systems from selecting right solution to implementation & post implementation matters.
